Cape Town International Airport is located around 15 miles east of Cape Town and is linked to the city via a modern expressway that makes getting from city centre to the terminal a simple matter. Taxis and buses are available, and there are several car rental desks where you can pick up a hire car if you have not arranged it in advance.
As well as bureau de change facilities, Cape Town Airport offers a number of banks where you can pick up local currency, or change your holiday money back. There is a range of shops including an extensive duty free area offering a large selection of goods at reasonable prices.
